This week in Reading, we are learning to determine what is important. 

VOCABULARY

Determining Importance - Determining or being able to identify important information in a text.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Draw pictures or write down things that are important to take on a trip to the snow. 

Example: First, Jack was going to the shops to get his family some food. Jack’s hat was red.

Important: Jack is going to the shops to get his family some food.

Not Important: Jack’s hat is red.
