Chess Competition, November 2023

We concluded a very successful chess competition in November 2023. All the participants played with a lot of enthusiasm in a friendly manner. This competition is mainly for IEC students as it gives them an opportunity to settle in and excel in the skills they had already learned before they came to IEC. Students further developed their chess skills through constant practice with players from different countries. It is a joy to see them play with a minimum of fuss and confrontation. 

Like mathematics, chess is a universal language, and chess players understand each other what the game is all about. Like mathematics, chess requires sophisticated problem-solving skills. Not only do the accomplished players benefit from chess through this competition, but even the onlookers and beginners gain valuable knowledge about chess just by watching and encouraging their friends to play. 

I have had numerous requests from beginners to join the chess club. If all goes well, we will have another great chess year. Congratulations to all the players. Here I have the final players of the November chess competition. All winners and runners-up receive trophies.
