Principal's Address

Good afternoon Moonie Families and welcome to term 4. 

We have a very busy and engaging term ahead of us. Please remember to check our calendar for important dates coming up this term. 

Camps

Our year 5 and 6 students will be joining students from The Gums SS on camp at Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat next week. This is a very exciting opportunity for them and we can’t wait to share photos with you. Hallie will be going to Tallebudgera in week 3 to participate in the annual leadership camp with other year 6 students from our cluster. 

Sport Updates

We wish Josie Nolan all the very best when she participates in the 800-metre race in Brisbane next week as she represents the Southwest Athletics Team. 

All year levels will be participating in a week-long block of swimming lessons in week 7 which will be provided by Swim Fit and funded by the school. Further information and permission forms will come out closer to that time. 

Where Are They Now?

This newsletter marks the start of our Where Are They Now section. Click on the tab to read about past Moonie State School students and find out where they’re living and what they’re doing now. We love to share success stories from our previous students, so if you know of anyone who may like to contribute to this section, please let us know. 

Swimming Pool. 

The swimming pool is now open for the summer. A reminder to read the conditions of use which are attached. 

Parent/Teacher meetings. 

Parent/teacher meetings will take place on the afternoons of Tuesday 31st October and Wednesday 1st of November. We would like all parents to come in for a discussion about your child's learning progress. Please phone or email our administration to arrange a time.
