MS Readathon

Well done to all the students that have participated in the MS Readathon. We ended up having around 100 students participating and have had 520 books logged onto the website. Wow! I am excited to write that we have raised over $1200. A very impressive effort!

Currently the leading fundraisers are:

  1. Kaylee from 6AS
  2. Aarav from 3PA
  3. Eleazar from 2NF and Ebenezer from 5LS

If you would still like to donate, you can still do this up until the 22nd of September.

The Children's Book Council Awards Winners

Each year the Children's Book Council of Australia releases a list of books that they deem as being the best in their category. These books are always incredibly creative, thought provoking and well written. Many of you may have seen the seal that is applied to these books in book shops, and it can often indicate a book that is well worth your child's time to read. For parents who are struggling to find a book for their child, it can sometimes be a handy indicator of a high quality text. Some adults (including the author of this) also find it handy in helping to select books that are good for gifts.

Below I have pasted the winning books along with their summary.
