From the Principal

Just a year ago!

As we mark the conclusion of Term 3, it's remarkable to think that just a year ago, we were celebrating the grand milestone of our Jubilee year. The joy of opening the new Junior Years building and commemorating twenty-five years of excellence in education still resonates vividly in our hearts and minds.

Our Jubilee year festivities were a testament to the strength and unity of the GNLC community. From the glittering Gala Ball to the inspiring student-led assemblies, from the proud display of badges and bag tags to the warm camaraderie shared by all, these events brought us closer together, reminding us of the incredible journey we've embarked upon.

One of the most heartwarming aspects of our Jubilee celebration was the presence of numerous individuals who have dedicated their time, wisdom, and unwavering support to the College over the years. They played pivotal roles in shaping our vision, contributing to our growth, and fearlessly pursuing what was necessary to provide the finest education to the children of the Wyndham area. Today, it is you, our current community, who carry the torch of this vision into the future.

Additionally, our community's generosity was on full display as we received numerous donations towards the creation of a Reflection Garden. We are thrilled to announce that we have finalised the location for this meaningful space, which will be nestled beyond the southern goals of the oval in the south-west corner of our College campus.

The Reflection Garden is designed with the intention of offering a serene haven for contemplation, mindfulness, and prayer. At its heart, a labyrinth garden will serve as a focal point for those seeking inner peace and self-discovery. Alongside this labyrinth, there will be various design elements carefully curated to enhance the overall experience and provide a tranquil sanctuary for all who visit.

Currently, we are working closely with professionals to bring this vision to life, ensuring that the design aligns seamlessly with the aspirations and needs of our community. We are excited to share that construction is scheduled to commence no later than the first term of the upcoming year. We pledge to keep you updated at every step of this inspiring project, as it evolves into a tangible space of reflection and inspiration for all.

As we end Term 3, let us carry the spirit of our Jubilee year in our hearts and look ahead to the promising future that awaits us. Together, as a resilient and passionate community, we will continue to nurture young minds, uphold our traditions, and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to GNLC. Praying you continue to make lasting family memories over the term break, as we eagerly anticipate the adventures the next term will bring.
