Year 3/4 Report
What an exciting start to the term this has been! Since returning from camp, the 3/4 students have been working exceptionally hard in being active and enthusiastic learners.
This Term, the 3/4 cohort began their first day travelling to the Phillip Island Adventure Resort for Camp. Students had the opportunity to participate in various activities, such as: the giant swing, flying fox, archery, camp cooking, initiatives course and a photo hunt! The night time activities included going to Amaze N Things where we completed a 3D maze, played mini golf and experienced a bunch of funky illusions, and going to the Penguin Parade to see lots of little penguins in the wild. Everyone had an incredible time, it was a memorable experience which ended with lots of smiles and cheerful stories.
The day after arriving from camp, we dove straight into our new Inquiry topic of ‘Innovation.’ Students have been learning about digital technologies and coding as part of our ‘Tuning In’ stage. In literacy, students have started reading The Wind in the Willows where they have been creating character profiles, exploring text themes and creating alternate endings. In numeracy, students have been revisiting strategies that have been taught earlier in the year including addition strategies and fractions.
What a fun Term so far! We can’t wait to continue with our fun and exciting learning.
