VOCABULARY

Determining importance: finding the important parts of the text (the main idea)

Main idea: the biggest idea, the most important part of the text

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

After your child has read their take home reader, ask them to identify and share with you, the important information they have read.
