Moana Jnr: Costumes

Families of students who have been cast in main roles, please be reminded that these students require the basic items listed for both their main character’s part AND their class items. Please see the attached costume letter for further information. Thank you to the families who have already sent the required basic clothing items to the class teacher of their child/ren. Families are asked to please send these items by the end of this week if they have not already done so.

Casting Arrangements and Tickets

Tickets are selling fast for both performances, with a 4 ticket limit applicable on ticket bookings until September 10. From September 11 onwards, no restrictions will apply, so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.

‘Moana Jr.’ will  be staged across two performances (11:00 am and 7:00 pm) at The Frankston Arts Centre on Monday, October 16. Two students have been cast in each main role for the shows and have been allocated to perform at either one of the two performances. In exceptional circumstances, such as the illness of a peer in the alternate cast, some students may also be required to perform their lead role at both performances. This information was specified on the Audition Registration Form on Operoo, which parents and guardians acknowledged by accepting the Operoo request prior to auditions.

Parents and guardians of students playing lead roles may wish to secure tickets for both performances in case their son/daughter is required to perform in both performances. Ticket sales commenced at 10 am on Monday, August 28. I am delighted to announce the following casting arrangements for the 2023 season of Moana JR:

Parents with concerns or challenges around their child’s participation are asked to please contact myself or a member of the leadership team as soon as possible. School productions at St Brendan’s School are traditionally much anticipated highlights of community engagement in our school, occurring every second year.

Production Day

Families who are yet to do so, please ensure that you have accepted the recent excursion permission form notified via Operoo for our production rehearsal and performances. As this day is tightly scheduled due to the two performances all students will be required to be dropped at school at 8:15 am on Monday, October 16 for their bus departures. Please note this in your family schedule. Students will all be required back at the theatre between 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm depending on their role, for a 7:00 pm performance. The evening performance is expected to conclude at approximately 8:15 pm.

A Skoolabg notification will be posted in Week One, Term Four regarding final reminders for Moana. Jr. Please keep an eye out for this next term.

Yours in faith & harmony.
