Reminder to stay home when unwell
Just a reminder to all families that we need to stay home if we are unwell. We have had an increase of illnesses at kinder and needing to send children home. To ensure that we can keep everyone as healthy as possible, if your child is unwell please keep them home. Please do not give your child Panadol in the morning and send them to kinder.
Child Safety Week
Child Safety Week is being held across the whole of Vermont PS and Kindergarten in Week 9, Monday 28th August - Friday 1st Sept.
Throughout the week the kinder children will be participating in some activities that aim to promote and educate the children about personal safety and awareness by empowering them to recognise, react and report. Children have the right to be safe and protected, including at school and Kindergarten. These activities have been designed to be age appropriate.
Please see the brochure for more information about the activities the children will be doing that was sent home via email earlier in the week or speak to your child's teacher.
3 YO Bright Colours Dress Up Day
Wednesday 30th August 2023
The students are asked to celebrate Child Safety Week by dressing in bright colours on the Wednesday so they can be easily seen and stay safe.
Banksia and Wattle Animal Incursion
The 3 YO groups were lucky enough to have a visit from Wildlife Exposure last week. It was fantastic to see how enthusiastic the children were to meet and pat the animals. They learnt lots of information about the different animals and how we can help protect them in the wild by looking after the environment. Ask you child which was their favourite animal and what interesting facts they can remember.
Science Week
As part of science week the children participated in a number of Science experiments.
