Welcome to this issue of the Nurlendi News! This week, I had the pleasure of attending Grade 6 Ski Camp with 44 of our amazig student. Camps always provide students with tremendous opportunities to challenge themselves in ways they wouldn't usually, it is also a chance to make life-long memories with friends. It was wonderful to see the students (and our amazing staff and volunteers!) showing persistence, patience and a positive attitude! I am sure there were lots of tired bodies returning home on Thursday, but smiles from ear to ear.
A huge thank you to Mr Wastie for organising this spectacular event, and Mr Webb for his support.
A huge thank you to all the parents who have completed this year's Parent and Guardian opinion survey. We have had a great response which is fantastic. There is still time to complete it if you have not yet, and would still like to.
Our 2024 enrolment offers for our Foundation students have been sent out, and we are excited to welcome the next lot of VPS students to our school at our upcoming Transition Sessions. If you are still waiting to enrol your child with VPS, (and live within the designated zone or have a sibling claim) please get your application in as soon as possible.
Our Book Fair is here! Come to the Library and see all the great new books we have available. Remember, every book you buy earns free books for our school!
Please refer to the Library Page in this newsletter for more details.
We are very excited to celebrate the end of primary school for our Year 6 students with their upcoming graduation ceremony in December, to be held at Box Hill Town Hall. In order to support this special event, Vermont Primary School is seeking donations from local businesses in the community, particularly those with whom we have an existing relationship. Goods, services, a term’s tuition, or vouchers are most welcome to be donated and will be raffled to raise funds for the event.
To recognise your valued and generous contribution, your business name and logo will be displayed at the graduation ceremony, included in the Graduation Booklet provided to all students and parents on the night, as well as on our school website and newsletter.
If you are able to support this event and would like further details on how to donate, please contact Kerryn McConachy, Graduation Coordinator, on kerryn.mcconachy@education.vic.gov.au .
We will add future information about Graduation on the tab further along in this newsletter.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Jess, Joy & Jacci
