Ash Marty: Champion by Ash Barty

Starting from her most junior days where she realised that she was meant to play tennis and was regularly beating opponents much older than her, through all the life lessons that she learnt along the way - things like never belittling your opponent, always trying your best and accepting defeat graciously.

It explores what made Ash retire from tennis in the first place, only to later reignite her passion for the game and to ultimately go on to be the world’s number 1 player.

This is an inspiring biography that is all about trying your best at what you do.

Eleanor Jones is not a murderer by Amy Doak

A fast-paced YA murder mystery. Eleanor Jones has just started at her ninth high school in less than five years. So maybe it's just bad luck that the very first person she talks to at Cooinda Secondary College, Angus Marshall, is stabbed and left for dead the same day. The last message on Angus's phone is from Eleanor Jones.

After being interviewed by the police, Eleanor realises they don't have all the facts and decides to investigate.

Book Week 2023

Children’s Book Council of Australia

CBCA announced the 2023 winners of the annual 'Book of the Year' awards with Tom Taylor & Jon Sommariva winning the prize for Book of the Year (Older Readers) for their graphic novel, Neverlanders

This wonderful book reimagines the world of Neverland from the story of Peter Pan in a whole new light. Tom & Jon have created an amazing fantasy setting, zoning in on the distinct characters, lost boys, who set out to stop a war from occurring.

Neverlanders is an imaginative retelling of the story of Peter Pan, revisiting the concept of Neverland in a whole new way.
