From the

Principal

Dear Parents / Carers,

Today it is recognised that to be truly well educated one must not only learn to appreciate the arts but must have rich opportunities to actively participate in creative work. The arts are languages that most people speak, cutting through individual differences in culture, educational background, and ability. We witnessed another Rowville Primary School success on Tuesday and Wednesday nights with our production of “Shrek The Musical Jr” that was performed at the Drum Theatre.

Its success was due to the dedication displayed by the selfless many who created the environment in which our students can perform to an appreciative audience. The spirit of teamwork was a strong feature of the project. Live performances demand working together as a team and striving toward a collective goal. I felt incredibly proud as I witnessed our students perform in this most positive of performances. It is value added education at its best.

To our Director Mr Drew Birnie and the myriad of others who contributed to the two nights, it’s time to take a bow!

A friendly reminder that the school will be closed this Monday 11 September for a Professional Practice Day. Team Kids will operate, and bookings can be made via this link https://teamkids.com.au/venues/rowville-primary-oshc/

Term Three will officially end at 2.30pm on Friday 15 September. Term Four will commence at 8.45am on Monday 2 October. I wish all families a wonderful Term Three break.

 Kind regards,

Anne Babich
