Countries of ENPS Event
Friday 21st March 2025
Welcome back to ENPS for another year of fun events which connect our community together.
If you were involved in last year's Countries of ENPS event, you would know that the students enjoyed this immensely and 'visited' a range of different countries with their passports to learn all about the different places in the world.
This year's event is scheduled for Friday 21st March. It is a whole school event where the students are mixed up into multi-age groups and visit different classrooms which have been set up as a country. We have lots of wonderful parents and family members volunteer to come in and teach our students all about their culture, country and traditions. The students participate in an activity together and then 'fly' off to visit the next country.
For this event to run, we require the help of at least 28 volunteers who are willing to share some cultural traditions, facts about the country they were born in (or are culturally connected to), show some traditional clothing pieces, dance, sing and song, play a musical instrument... anything that you feel the students will be able to learn from and enjoy.
Each volunteer will be paired with a classroom teacher to create an outline of a lesson to teach, the teacher will support you on the day also. The same lesson will be taught multiple times across the day to different groups of students ranging from Foundation to Year Six.
If you would like to volunteer to present a country, please complete Google form linked ASAP so we can ensure we have enough support for the event to be able to run.
If you assisted last year, you can absolutely do it again this year! We can use some of the same material and incorporate some new activities to mix it up a little.
If you have any questions regarding the event, please come and see me before or after school and I'd be happy to chat further with you.
