A New Year of Growth and Opportunities!

Welcome back, students, parents, and carers! As we kick off the new year, I am excited to reintroduce Beyond the Bell - your go-to space for extending learning beyond the classroom. This section of our newsletter provides students with unique opportunities to explore and develop their talents, skills, and knowledge in a variety of exciting extra-curricular activities.

We believe in the importance of broadening learning experiences to complement what students achieve during regular school hours. Through the range of opportunities, students can challenge themselves, discover new interests, and develop skills that will serve them for years to come. Here's a glimpse of what to look forward to this year:

1. ICAS Assessments

The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) offer students the chance to participate in one of the most respected academic assessments across multiple disciplines, including English, Mathematics, Science, and more. These assessments are designed to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving, offering valuable insights into individual strengths.

2. Science Talent Search

Calling all budding scientists! The Science Talent Search is the perfect opportunity for students to dive into research projects and showcase their creativity and innovation in science. This program allows students to explore various scientific concepts, build projects, and present their findings, giving them a platform to shine and potentially even win exciting prizes!

3. GATEWAYs Programs

Our GATEWAYs programs cater to students with a passion for learning and a desire to explore subjects in greater depth. Whether it's advanced studies in mathematics, literature, or the arts, GATEWAYs provide students with the tools and resources to push their boundaries and engage in deeper learning experiences.

4. Additional Curriculum Opportunities

As the year unfolds, we will continue to offer new and exciting programs based on student interest and availability. From art exhibitions to coding workshops and beyond, there will be no shortage of opportunities for students to engage with diverse subject areas.
