Magnify Sandhurst – an update – Building Teacher Capacity with StepLab: A Pathway to Student Success

At Sacred Heart, we are committed to continuous improvement in teaching and learning. We know that our best resources are our teachers and staff. One of the key initiatives supporting our goal of continuous improvement is the implementation of the StepLab coaching program which we begun this term. StepLab is a structured, evidence-based platform that empowers teachers to refine their practice through targeted feedback, instructional coaching, and ongoing professional development.

By using StepLab, teachers engage in short, focused coaching cycles that help them master high-impact teaching strategies. This approach builds confidence, strengthens classroom practice, and promotes consistency across year levels. As teachers grow in their expertise, students benefit from clearer instruction, stronger engagement, and improved learning outcomes.

StepLab also fosters a culture of collaboration, where teachers support one another and share best practices. Ultimately, this investment in teacher development will lead to a richer, more effective learning environment for every child at Sacred Heart.
