The Grade 1/2 class has been very busy this week! We have been getting creative with some fun craft projects, making spiders, hedgehogs, bats, cats and mice. The students loved using different materials to bring their animals to life and our classroom is now full of wonderful creations!

In Maths, we’ve been learning all about money. We have been learning to recognise coins and notes, adding up amounts and calculating change. The students have enjoyed using play money to practise their skills through fun shop-style games.

In Reading and Writing, we’ve been focusing on retelling fairy tales. The children have explored classic stories and have been practising sequencing events, describing characters and using their own words to retell familiar tales. It’s been fantastic to see their creativity and confidence grow each day!
