Principal's Message
To Strive, To Seek, To Care with HEART

Dear Parents & Friends,
We’ve passed the half-way mark of the term with the end of the year and all its celebrations and festivities rapidly approaching. During the assembly last week, I reminded students that how you finish matters. It’s not too late to reset your goals, lift your effort and make these last five weeks count. Let’s not drift to the end but finish strong.
Stage 2 exams began this week involving both Year 11 & 12 students. It was great to see the library buzzing during Sunday’s study session, and I want to thank Vicki Hutchinson, Matt Johnson, Roxanne Egan and Anna Dohler for making themselves available to support our students. Exams will conclude next week, followed by Year 12 Graduation on 20th November, a highlight of our school year.
Last week our incoming Year 7 2026 students joined us for a series of Orientation activities. Across the week they enjoyed sessions in Performing Arts, Science, Visual Arts or Maths while our prospective boarders spent two nights experiencing life in the boarding house. Thanks to Michelle Fleming, Tammy Hawkins, Matt Johnson, Vicky Hutchinson, Felicity Dowdell, Nic Ray and Amy Stenniken for their teaching support, HOH for their TG support and Janine Cooper, Paul Bailey, Jill Jansons, Kris Wheeler, Ketut Sunada, Zac Henderson, Lisa-Marie Burgoyne, Moogie Curtis and Gappies Tom & Camilla for everything they did to ensure the success of the week.
Our Outdoor Education and Physical Education Assembly was a fantastic celebration of students achieving at a high level in both physical and personal challenges. The experiences offered through Outdoor Education foster resilience, teamwork, and open-mindedness—qualities that can’t always be measured in a classroom. Likewise, the number of students representing Alice Springs, the Northern Territory, and Australia in their chosen sports is truly inspiring. Their dedication and discipline, along with the support of their coaches, families, and friends, reflect the Round Square pillar of Adventure at its best.
Thanks to our Acting Head of Physical Education, Jake Akmens, our Adventure Captains, Hannah Chandler and Abbey Cowan and our Sports Captains, Lexi James and Takudzwa Deka for putting in the work to make the assembly both interesting and informative.
There is so much to look forward to in the coming weeks – Soiree, Senior Art & Photography Exhibit, Graduation, Valedictory, Year 10 Play, Advent Service and Academic Assembly so please mark these events in your diary.
Kind regards,
Leslie Tilbrook
