Dear Wheelers Hill Primary School families,
Wheelers Hill Primary School is looking forward to another wonderful year of teaching and learning in 2026. As we plan for the year ahead, I’d like to share information about our financial contributions and invite you to support our school once again.
Our school community has always taken pride in providing an exceptional education, one that fosters curiosity, confidence, and high achievement. Over many years, it has been the generosity of our families that has helped us create such a vibrant and successful learning environment. Your contributions truly make a difference in what we can offer our students.
We are proud to be recognised as a high-achieving school, with outstanding literacy and numeracy programs that set our students up for success. Our flagship MSL (Multisensory Structured Literacy) program continues to deliver excellent results, with our NAPLAN outcomes consistently among the best in the state.
Our students thrive in specialist programs including Mandarin, French, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, STEM, and Physical Education. These rich learning experiences are part of what makes Wheelers Hill Primary School so special; however, they rely heavily on the ongoing support of our families and may be at risk if we do not receive sufficient financial contributions.
Technology also plays a vital role in our teaching and learning. Family contributions help us maintain high-quality ICT infrastructure, ensuring every student has access to modern devices, reliable networks, and engaging digital learning tools. In the junior years, our device-to-student ratios are well above the Department of Education's recommendations, providing our students with a strong foundation in digital skills for the future.
We are also proud of our beautiful grounds and facilities, which provide an inspiring place for students to learn and play. Many improvements, from classroom updates such as new carpets to outdoor developments, have been made possible through family contributions. Recent projects, including new line marking, the vibrant school mural, and ongoing maintenance such as gardening and grounds work, are all visible examples of your contributions at work in the school.
While the Department of Education provides funding for the basic delivery of the Victorian Curriculum, it is your financial contributions that allow us to maintain and extend these exceptional programs and opportunities. Without this additional support, some of the high-quality programs and resources we value most may be difficult to sustain at their current level.
That’s why we are once again asking for your contribution for 2026. Every contribution makes a difference, directly enhancing classroom learning, technology, and specialist programs that enrich every student.
Your ongoing support ensures that Wheelers Hill Primary School continues to offer the best possible education and learning environment for our students. Together, we can maintain the high standards and opportunities our children deserve.
Thank you for your continued generosity and commitment to our school community.

Parent Payments are a 3-step process:
Step 1: Compass
The Compass Course Confirmation for each year level lists
all items for which we request a payment contribution. These include arts
and crafts supplies, classroom learning materials, worksheets, and various digital programs used at school and for homework. The total
amount covers all the learning supplies your child/children will use in the
classroom throughout the school year.
Don't hesitate to contact the school office if you would
prefer to make regular contributions rather than the full amount.
Step 2: Order your child's stationery pack from COS

We understand that every family’s circumstances are different. Families who wish to spread out their contributions are welcome to contact the office to arrange a schedule that best suits their situation.
For families who hold a valid Health Care Card, we will advise in early 2026 when CSEF fund applications are open.
All parent helpers, volunteers and Visitors must show their Working With Children's Card every visit to the school.
Many parents assist in the classroom, on excursions, and at school events throughout the year, and we appreciate your time. However, all volunteers and parent helpers must hold a valid Working with Children Card.
The card must be presented to the Office every time you sign in (when volunteering at school or as a parent helper on an excursion).
