Prep Transition

We’re well into our Prep Transition sessions for this year. Our new cohort is settling in beautifully and already learning what it means to be a Prep student at Wheelers Hill. Well done, everyone!

Our next transition session is on Friday 28th November from 9:15am-12:15pm. During this time the prep information session will be on from 9:30-10:30am.

Walk to School

Thank you to all the students, parents, and teachers who have taken part in these events throughout the term. Your enthusiasm and commitment have made each walk a great success.

A special thank you to our Sustainability Coordinator, Mrs. Bartleton, for her organisation in leading the “Walk to School” program this year. We look forward to seeing this initiative continue in 2026.

Traffic around WHPS

The school is in regular consultation with Monash Council to manage traffic and parking around the school. Recently we have been working with the council to improve traffic flow along Threadbow Crescent, especially during the afternoon pick up time. Please read the information below from Monash Council about driving along Threadbow Crescent.

Parent Contributions for 2026

As we prepare for the 2026 school year, we’re reaching out to seek your continued support through our Parent Contributions, which are now available on Compass.

While the Department of Education funds the staple requirements for teaching and learning, it’s the additional support from families that enables us to deliver the high-quality programs, facilities, and learning experiences our students enjoy. These contributions allow us to enrich the curriculum, enhance resources, and maintain the welcoming school environment that defines Wheelers Hill Primary School.

We are deeply appreciative of the generosity our community has shown in the past and hope this support will continue into 2026. Your contributions directly fund classroom programs, digital and learning materials, and the care of our school grounds, all of which help create a safe, engaging, and inspiring place for every child. Without this ongoing assistance, we may be required to scale back some of the programs and improvements that make our school such a special place.

We’ve worked to keep contribution amounts for 2026 closely aligned with those of 2025, making it as manageable as possible for families to continue their support. Every contribution, no matter the amount, helps us provide meaningful opportunities for our students to learn and grow.

Thank you once again for your generosity, involvement, and commitment to our school community. Together, we can ensure that 2026 is another year of success, growth, and opportunity for all students.

Student Exits

We are at that time of year when we are planning for 2026. We know that some families, unfortunately, won’t be with us next year, due to moving to a new house or area, etc. If that includes your family, we are sorry to see you leave our community.

Please ensure that you call the school or email us to inform us of your plans at your earliest convenience. This supports us with our planning for next year.

Please note that we have two student-free days later this term to assist with teacher planning and report writing.
