Child Safety
Our highest priority
From 10 December 2025, new rules will come into effect across Australia to help keep children safe online. Under these new laws, social media companies will need to take steps to stop children under 16 from creating social media accounts on certain platforms.
The eSafety Commissioner has released an updated list of which services will be affected.
These platforms will need to make sure children under 16 cannot create accounts:
These platforms don’t currently fall under the new rules:
YouTube Kids
Social media companies that don’t follow the new age rules could face serious penalties.
While these changes are a positive step toward safer online spaces, it’s important to remember that no platform is completely risk-free. Children can still come across harmful content or behaviour online, including cyberbullying or inappropriate material. As a school we don't encourage any unmonitored screen time.
Families are encouraged to stay informed and talk regularly with their children about online safety. You can find helpful, up-to-date advice about apps, games and social media on the eSafety Guide.
Using our school crossing is the safest way to cross Corrigan Road.

Reminder: No school parking is permitted on the yellow-highlighted roads.
Please ensure you park in designated areas only. Thank you for your cooperation.

Driveway and Parking Reminders
Just a friendly reminder that Resurrection School and Parish has three driveways. For safety and traffic flow:
Using the incorrect driveway or carpark is creating a safety risk for our students and must not continue.
The safest place to park is in the designated area next to the oval off Loxwood Avenue.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe.

This term we will be working with our student leaders and guiding them through our Child Safe Policy. We make sure children and young people are empowered about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously in all child safety matters.
