This week in the Stage 3 space, students have been learning all about selecting and using the appropriate unit and device to measure lengths and distances, including perimeters. They have also been practising converting between units of length, which supports their understanding of the place value system. The students have a great understanding of recording distances using abbreviations, especially for kilometres (km).
