Hi all

On Friday our Year 6 students and a few of our Year 5 played in the Winter Lightning Premiership.  We sent 8 teams in total.  Two teams, the mixed AFL and Netball teams, winning and earning a spot at the Kingston Division events in Term 3.  We also had three second placed teams.  Our Year 5 AFL team took advantage of the spare spot in the fixture and finished in the top 4 as well.  They should all sleep well that night.

It was Mr O’Brien’s birthday (I won’t divulge his age other than it is a famous Beatles lyric).  He umpired all four AFL games and ran the bench for the Year 5s.  It is a long day with 4 or more games each.

I would especially like to thank Ryan L’ and Emily H for helping us out on the day.  They volunteered themselves for the entire day and their efforts helped make the day such a success.  I hope you both enjoyed the day as much as we did having you there.

I would like to thank the families that came down to support the kids.  They love having you there and we enjoy the atmosphere you bring with your cheering and encouragement.

Yours in Sport
