STUDENT VOICE

SRC 📣🏫
Last week, our Student Representative Council (SRC) held its first meeting for the year. The students talked about things they have noticed around the school and shared ideas about what they would like to improve over the next few weeks. The students will now work with their classmates to gather student opinions and make sure everyone has a chance to share their ideas about our school. The group will also be choosing a charity for our school to support as a whole school community. We look forward to sharing more about the SRC’s work in future newsletters.
2168 Children's Parliament
Our parliamentarians, Kattya, Alexa, Loritta and Hawra, attended their very first 2168 Children’s Parliament workshop for the year in February. During the workshop, students learnt about children’s rights and discussed why it is important for young people to have a voice in their community.
As part of the session, the students created a poster about children’s rights, which will be proudly displayed in the front office this year. We encourage families to take a moment to check it out when visiting the school.
Our next Children’s Parliament meeting will take place on Tuesday 24 March. We look forward to seeing our students continue to develop their leadership and represent the voices of young people in our community.
