YR 7 & 8 VOLLEYBALL 

Our Year 7 and 8 Volleyball teams set out to Leongatha Splash for the annual South Gippsland Volleyball Tournament. With strong competition from other schools, our players took to the court ready to do their best. 

The Year 8 Boys/Mixed team did an amazing job in working together as a team to score some great points against strong opposition. Throughout the day, the laughter and smiles on the court demonstrated the enjoyment being had by the team. With great leadership from Matt C, the team held their heads high for the effort they put in. 

Year 7 Girls went in eager to win, and with a team of 10, they showed they had plenty of support and skill for the day ahead. You could hear the cheers throughout the day as the girls scored valuable points. Their first game was a tight finish, with the opposition taking out the match on points, but with focus and drive, the girls didn’t drop a set for the remainder of the day. With three teams tied on games won, the girls successfully took out the day as Champions based on the number of sets they won.

The Year 8 Girls went in focussed and ready to play. As a team of six, the worked hard to communicate well on court, demonstrated great skills and game play. Whilst teams came close, the girls took out the day as Champions undefeated.
