Election Forum | Christian Schools Australia

Christian Schools Australia (CSA) invite you to join them at Swan Christian College to meet with local candidates and current members of parliament who will be engaging with those in attendance. This is our chance to highlight the issues important to Christian schools and to articulate the election commitments that we are seeking from all sides of politics.

Commitments Sought:

  • Freedom for Faith - CSA requests that parties commit to introducing legislation that will create a positive right for religious expression, including in the management of religious schools, into Commonwealth law.
  • Focus on Flourishing - CSA calls on parties to acknowledge the link between religious formation and overall flourishing of young Australians and ensure ideology has no place in school programs and curriculum.
  • Fairness in Funding - CSA requests that parties commit to retaining current funding levels for Christian schools so that they remain affordable and accessible for Australian families.

Called to Teach?

Our vision to be an exceptional Christ-centred learning community now extends into growing and investing in Christ-centred educators of the future.

The King’s College is excited to partner with The St Phillip’s Teaching School to offer an innovative and authentic teacher training experience.

Enrolment for a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Education through St Phillip’s provides a practical teacher training program, with placement in a classroom at The King’s College from the first day of study, with the guidance of a dedicated mentor within a supportive Christian school community - including a paid employment day once a week.
