Another week has flown by and here is a bit of a recap….
Last weekend was hosted by the fabulous Brenton and Sparky. Our students headed south for a day out at Lake Cave in Margaret River. After descending 320 steps they explored the cave with the tour guide (Teddy) who gave the history of the cave and how it has formed. Even after climbing the very steep steps again, the feedback from students was very positive. This was followed by a sneaky stopover at Simmos Ice Creamery on the way home.
The weekend also included a trip to Eaton Fair, a great BBQ cooked to perfection by one of the students, a movie on the big screen in the gym, lots of badminton, table tennis, horses, the Eagles game on the big screen, as well as the students being social around the College.
Dorm Challenge
The dorm challenge this week was a drawing challenge “pimp my ride” which involved adding some ”extra fruit” onto a 70series drawing. Congratulations to this weeks winner Hoffman dorm.
Reach Leaves
A reminder that students returning to site at a different time than what currently in their Reach Leave needs to be confirmed by a parent via phone, email (Harvey.residence@education.wa.edu.au) or text message prior to returning so we are able to monitor the return of students to site as well as having catering numbers for meals. We can also on occasion have no staff onsite over a weekend for certain periods.
Thankyou to our Volunteers
This week has seen our kitchen short staffed so I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone for jumping in to help each other out, all the while offering the amazing food to our students.
We had a couple of our girls, Jade Bell and Charli Smith help cut up veggies one afternoon which confirms why our “Aggies” are really a special bunch!
Enjoy your Weekend!
