PA Report and Update

It feels like Term 1 is flying by, with so much happening around the school and still so much to come before the holidays. A huge thank you to Jules for coordinating the BBQ at Twilight Sports last week, and thanks to all the parents who helped out on the night.  

 

The PA held our first meeting in February, where we discussed our plans for the year. We are hoping to raise enough money this year to improve the passive play area with new furniture and equipment.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, 18 March at 7pm and it will be held online via Google Meet. We’d love to see some new faces joining us on the screen, so please let Verona or myself know if you would like to receive the link.

 

TERM 1 Events and Activities

Later this term we are planning a special food day (details to come) and of course, the Easter Raffle, which is always a highlight for the children. 

Easter Raffle tickets will be sent home soon, and families can begin to drop off donations of Easter eggs to the office this week. Last year we had an

 abundance of eggs and there were lots of happy faces as the winners were called, so hopefully we can do the same this year. The raffle will be drawn at assembly, 12.45pm on Friday, 4 April.

 

TERM 2 Events and Activities

The Mother’s Day Stall will be held on Thursday, 8 May and we are looking for someone who is willing to coordinate this event, as well as volunteers to help price the gifts and run the stall on the day. Please let us know if you are available to assist. Dads are especially welcome to help, so the kids can keep their purchases top secret from Mum! 

The Mother’s Day Breakfast will be on Friday, 9 May from 7.30 – 8.45am. Nick McKay is coordinating this again, so please get in touch with him if you are available to help out.

 

Throughout The Year

Later in the year we will be holding more Special Food Days, the Colour Run and possibly a Bunnings BBQ fundraiser. Make sure you check the PA page in the newsletter for details. 

Our Major Fundraiser for the year will be held on 

Saturday 23rd August, so save the date in your calendars!

 

If you’ve been thinking about joining the PA or lending your skills to one of our events, we would love to hear from you. More parents helping out means more memorable activities for the kids, and more money raised for our wonderful school. You don’t necessarily need to come along to all the meetings or be available to assist with activities during school/work hours – we also need help planning events, ordering supplies, and sourcing sponsors for fundraisers, so please let us know if you can help in any way.

Farmers Pick

Farmers Pick is back this year with all deliveries sent to the school every Tuesday. They offer sustainable fruit and vegetable boxes on a subscription basis for the whole family.
