Toddler Time

Toddler Story Time returned to St Carlo Borromeo  last Wednesday 28th February in the school Library. It was so nice to see so many children return from last year and so many new faces. The day may have changed from a Friday to Wednesday but the fun had and the smiles and laughter from the parents and children was the same.

Our first Toddler Story Time session was an exciting one. We read the story, ‘Star Light, Star Bright,’ by Susie Linn and then closed our eyes and made a wish before we went back to the tables to make our very own wishing stars.  It was amazing to see the children focused on weaving their stars, adding beads and metallic threads that blew in the wind as they walked around the library.  There was a lot of pride on both the faces of the children and their parents.

Once finished everyone came back to the mat ready to sing and dance before sitting quietly ready for our prayer to God and a quick ‘Ciao tutti´ to our friends. It was then time to go home to find a special place to hang our wishing stars.

Well done to everyone. Let’s do it all again next week.

Just a reminder that Toddler Story Time is held in the school library every Wednesday morning at 9.00 a.m. Come along for a story, craft activity, singing and dancing.

Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you next time.
