School Review

As part of the improvement cycle, each Victorian government school undertakes a review every four years. Over the past 6mths we having been completing a comprehensive self-evaluation against the FISO 2.0 continua of practice, which involves students, teachers and community members.

An independent analysis is also completed of a school’s performance against their goals and targets in their school strategic plan. The review evaluates the school's strengths, areas for improvement and the impact of its improvement efforts. As such, I would like to thank everyone for their support and input in the development of our new four-year school strategic plan. Our plan is currently in draft form and will be shared with the community as soon as fully endorsed.

End of Term Picnic

We would like to invite parents and carers to be part of a Picnic / Easter Egg hunt  from 1pm on Thursday 28 March to celebrate the last day of term. Weather permitting, we will have our whole school picnic lunch near the soccer field with the Easter Egg hunt to follow. All younger siblings are most welcome to join the hunt! The day will conclude at 2:15pm and all buses still running from that time.

NAPLAN

This week our Year 3 and 5 students have been participating in the National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). We’re incredibly proud of the manner our students have embraced the assessments, but wish to remind everyone that this is a ‘snapshot’ of their capacity and does not suit all learning needs or preferences. As a school, we utilise all learning experiences and a range of assessments to determine student learning goals and levels of achievement.
