Year 7 & 8 News

Year 7 and Year 8 students have made a really positive start in Term one.

It is a daunting time for our Year 7 students, however they have, for the most part, taken the challenge in their stride by making new friends, learning their way around a new school and engaging with their studies very positively. It is also fantastic to see that almost all of our students are wearing the correct uniform and attending each class with the appropriate equipment.

Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages every student to achieve their full potential. Our school, of course, is more than just a place of academic learning, it is also a place where your children will form friendships, develop social skills and discover their own interests and passions. We have a range of programs and activities that cater for different interests including sports, music, drama and arts. At Ballarat High School, we also have a range of lunchtime clubs that students can join and pursue these interests beyond the classroom.

      What’s new?  Pompe Pounds $$$$

Students can receive Green (Positive Behaviour Observation) Compass entries from their teachers – each entry allocates the student house points, as well as entry into the weekly draw to win “Pompe Pounds”. It is a $5 Canteen voucher for the week. However, in order to go in the draw for the voucher, students cannot have any Yellow (Minor Behaviour) or Red (Major Behaviour) compass entries that week.
