Construction Update
Works commencing Monday 26 February 2024!
We are excited to share that the following projects will begin construction next week:
- New Primary Playground
- Refurbishment of the Visual Art rooms.
We are working closely with our contractors to try and minimise any inconvenience for our community, as well as to monitor the air quality throughout all projects. While every attempt will be made to limit disruptions, we know that disruptions are inevitable when it comes to construction works, and so thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Primary Playground
With the safety of our community at the forefront, we will have fences around the perimeter of the lower playground - Leopard Terrace. This will impact one of our walkways from the Amphitheatre to Primary Administration, and we kindly ask that you walk around the area on the other path. This may take an extra two to three minutes for those students who use the oval side of the Primary building. In terms of spaces to play at Morning Tea and Lunch, Palm Grove, the Oval, Year 6 area and the LRC will not be impacted, and staff will be working on a plan for students to play safely in these shared spaces.
Visual Art rooms
While the two Visual Art rooms are being refurbished, the impact to students will be minimal. There will be a section of the 'Japanese Courtyard' that will be cordoned off for our contractors. This will be clearly signed and will not impact classroom access.
