QGSSSA Swimming Championships

89th Annual QGSSSA Swimming Championships

Date: Wednesday 28 February

Location: Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex

Attendance and Ticketing

Schools have allocated seating sections based on their lane allocation. Please refer to the map below. 

Competing students and student spectators arriving by bus, will not be required to obtain a ticket to gain entry into the Brisbane Aquatic Centre. 

General spectators, including parents, will be required to obtain a free general admission ticket via Eventbrite. 

Tickets must be presented upon arrival to gain entry into the Brisbane Aquatic Centre. All spectators will be provided with a general admission unallocated seat, and we kindly ask that your sit in your allocated school area or general spectator seating areas. Please do not sit in another school's supporter area. 

Should you no longer be able to attend, please release your seats by ‘requesting a refund’ which will release the tickets automatically back into the general ticket pool.

Mark your calendars, wear your school colours with pride, and let's create a sea of support for our extraordinary athletes.

It is mandatory for students in Years 7-12 to embrace their college spirit and attend as spectators to support the 2024 QGSSSA Swimming Team. 

Note: Students in Years 7-12 are expected to attend as spectators. 

Date: Wednesday 28 February 

Venue: Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex

Time: 3:15pm – 9:00pm 

Bring: Food and a water bottle in a small bag (Kiosk facilities will be available)

Do not bring: Ipods or equivalent (you are attending to support the Swimming team)

Uniform: Summer uniform (including hats – boys and girls)

Andrews Cup and Britton Shield Swimming Metro Meet

The Swimming Squads for the Andrews Cup and Britton Shield will be participating in a Metro Meet on Saturday, 24 February. Kindly refer to the details below for a reminder:

Date: Saturday, February 24

Arrival Time: 1:00 pm

Warm-up: 1:15 pm

Competition Time: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Venue: Moreton Bay College

Kindly make sure your child wears the CC sports uniform, CC swimwear, CC caps, and brings goggles. Parents are responsible for arranging transportation for their child to and from the venue.

Britton Shield Swimming Competition 

The Britton Shield Swimming Squad is set to participate in the Britton Shield Swimming competition hosted by Moreton Bay College. Please review the details provided below, as communicated recently through the College App for parents:

Date: Monday 26 February

Arrival Time: 8.30am

Warm Up Time: 9.00am

Competition: 9.30am-12.30pm. Please note that times are subject to change.

Venue: Moreton Bay College Aquatic Centre, Wondall Rd, Manly West

Andrews Cup Touch Football Metro Meet

The Andrews Cup Touch Football team has been invited by St Margarets to participate in a Metro Meet (practice competition) on Monday 26 February. 

It is recommended that ALL Andrews Cup players attend this meet.
