It has been a very busy start to the term and we are now halfway through term 1 for 2024. There is still lots coming up with school photos this Thursday, all students are required to wear full school uniform for the photos. Berry Street training is Monday March 4th and 22nd both these days are pupil free. We also have NAPLAN, NCD Triathlon, LMR Swimming, AFL Superkick and Hot Shots tennis. Please keep an eye out for more information on these events as they happen.

We have our AGM for College Council on March 18th, there will be a number of vacant positions please reach out to myself or Troy Heenan if you would like to know more about Council and it purpose.

NAPLAN is a national literacy and numeracy  assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit. The NAPLAN online test window starts  Wednesday, March 13 and finishes on Friday 22 March 2024.

It is the only national assessment all Australian students do.

As students progress through their school years, it’s important to check how well they are learning the  essential skills of reading, writing and numeracy.

While students in Year 3 will undertake a writing test, all other tests will be completed online. One of the main benefits is tailored (or adaptive) testing, where the test presents questions which may be more or less difficult depending on a student’s responses.

You can support your child by reassuring them that  NAPLAN is a part of their school program and reminding them to simply do their best. Teachers will ensure students are familiar with the types of questions in the tests and will provide appropriate support and guidance.
