NOTICE BOARD 

You are invited to our Family Fun Night-Tuesday19th March 3.30-5.15pm

Families are welcome to attend on the synthetic oval and participate in a variety of activities provided by the school.

Feel free to bring an afternoon picnic along and find a patch of grass to sit and socialise with the HPS community.

Parent/Carer Volunteer Training session - Wednesday 20th March 9-10am

If you would like to volunteer at our school to assist students in the classroom, on camp, on excursions etc, you will need to complete this training to be able to do so.

You will also need a valid Working with Children's Check.

The training takes approx. one hour and will be hosted by Linda Buckeridge (Principal) in the library.

Further training dates will also be offered in Term 2.

 

NB: If you have completed this in the past, you do not need to do this again this year. Your details have already been provided to class teachers this week to start our volunteer program for 2024.

Next Assembly 

Our next fortnightly assembly for our community to attend will be Friday 15th March

Assemblies commence at 2.30pm, so please arrive around 2.15pm and find a

place to sit at the rear of the gym.

Hillsmeade commemorative “brick” 

The Hillsmeade School Council is extremely excited to present a unique opportunity to leave a lasting mark at Hillsmeade.

Please see the attached flyer with all the details on how you can acquire a commemorative “brick” to be placed under our flag poles.

The brick allows you to personalise it with elements such as your child’s name, their year level, the year they commenced their journey at Hillsmeade, your family name or even a hand-drawn picture.

Holmes who was our School Council President for 2023. Working with Lisa has been an absolute pleasure and the school community should be very proud of the way she has represented each of you and been the voice of the HPS broader community. 

I encourage all previous councillors and those that nominated themselves but were unsuccessful during this election, to please continue volunteering at our school and keep in mind that we seek nominations on an annual basis, so don't give up!!

Last Day of Term 1 - Thursday 28th March

Easter Parade for ELC/Prep/Yr 1/Yr 2 - 9am on the basketball courts (weather permitting). Easter hats to be made at home! Back up Easter hats will also be made at school!

 

All students are dismissed at 2.30pm on the last day of term. 

BREAKFAST CLUB 

Breakfast Club will be open from 8:00am to 8:45am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday!

Lot's of free tasty options! See you next to the Canteen!

Carer supervision is required prior to 8.35am, teachers are on duty from 8.35am only.

You may be eligible to apply for the CSEF (Camps Sports Excursion Fund) which gives each student $125 per year to go towards Camps, Sports, Excursions and Incursions at Hillsmeade Primary School.
