Year 1 Update

Upcoming Learning - Weeks 6 & 7

Subject	Learning Focus
Reading	Students will be engaging in literacy activities using the Little Learners Love Literacy program.
Writing	Students will be writing narratives using mentor texts, including fairy tales to support their learning, and developing their letter formation during their handwriting session.
Maths	Students will be exploring data, asking yes and no questions and using graphs to show their findings. They will also look at numbers, using place value to learn about ones, tens, hundreds and thousands.
Inquiry	Students will be learning about Australian Aboriginal culture, by engaging with the Dreaming story, The Rainbow Serpent.
SEL	Students will be focusing on RESILIENCE and how to respond to big problems and little problems.
