Term 3
Students have started this term with a soccer unit and soon they will be commencing a netball unit. Throughout the unit, they are developing fundamental movement skills and specific techniques.
In Week 4, the students continued their second round of stations: dribble and shoot, pass and move, pass and follow, and two-versus-two mini soccer games. At these stations, the students applied and combined the skills they learned in the first two weeks to perform more complex manoeuvres.
They continue to be reminded of key soccer fundamentals—kicking with the inside of the foot, trapping the ball with the inside of the foot, dribbling using both the inside and outside of the foot, and taking a step back (then stepping near the ball) before shooting at the goal. Some classes even had time to finish their lesson with an all-in soccer game!

Summer PSSA will recommence on Friday 21st August so check your Google Classroom if you're in a team.
Also, make sure to check your Google Classroom for updates about training sessions as your time may have changed.
Our Boys Cricket State Knockout team has their next match coming up in the next few weeks - we’re so proud of them and encourage them to be training hard as they prepare for the big game!
To the finals we go! 🎉 Huge congratulations to our boys' basketball team on the win, though we're sending healing vibes to Bryan—our starting five and defensive anchor—who twisted his ankle last week. We're all hoping he's back in time for the finals match.
It was a shaky start with early turnovers, but once Kaixin sank the first basket, the boys found their groove. Theo caught fire with 5 straight buckets to give Carlingford West a comfortable lead, Jayden added some clutch baskets to push it past 30, and Ryan was unstoppable once he found his rhythm. Shoutout to Tommy, who replaced Bryan in the starting five and stepped up big time.
The whole team played as one—that's what made the win possible.
Now, parents—mark September 7th on your calendars!
Clear the whole day for basketball finals. Let's gooooooo! 🏀💪
SCORE: 67-22
