Student Services: Careers 

Welcome to Term 2. It has been a tricky start for the Careers office with Booma needing to take some unplanned leave – everything will be back up and running at full steam next week. Thanks to students and families for their patience and support. 

YEAR 12 - PLANNING FOR TRANSITION  

Since the start of the year I have caught up with many Year 12s to discuss their plans for 2027 and beyond. Over the holidays I know that quite a few Year 12 students took the time to participate in tours, events and information sessions which are held on many university campuses during school term breaks.  

These tours are a great opportunity to speak to students and staff in small groups, without the hectic crowds of open days. There will be more events running in the June/July holidays and students should keep an eye on the Careers Channel in Teams if they wish to find out more. 

Year 12s will be doing initial planning and applications for 2027 in Term 3. 

YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE 

A reminder that students wishing to undertake Work Experience must follow the school process for this. Applications are due 16 days prior to the commencement of placement and must be hand delivered to the Careers office before school, recess or lunchtime. More information can be found on the Careers Channel in Teams and in School Documentation on Compass.
