Career & Pathways

Senior School

Firstly, we’d like to take a moment to introduce our Careers & Pathways team at Wantirna College:

Darren Hoogkamer – Leader of Senior School (Pathways & Transitions)

Jessie Dennison – Careers Practitioner Lead

Tim Knowles – Careers Practitioner

We work primarily with Year 9 - 12 students in our Senior School. Students are invited to message us directly via Teams or pop in to see us in the Pathways Hub if they ever need any support related to careers and pathways.  Additionally, parents are welcome to email us with any questions.

We have hit the ground running with our work in the careers and pathways space this year.  It’s been fantastic to meet so many students over the past week, and get the opportunity to begin delivering vital information about processes and upcoming events.

We have many exciting things planned for 2024, kicking off the following Key Dates:

Monday 12 February

VCE & VCE (VM) Parent Information Session

Wednesday 20 March

Year 9 Morrisby profiling and Mock Interviews

Monday 20 - Friday 24 March

Year 10 Work Experience

We will post reminders and information that families need to be aware of in each Newsletter.

Additionally, we will be sharing editions of “Career News”, which provides details of Tertiary study and career information.

We encourage students and their families to peruse these, particularly if any of the topics spark their interest.  If any queries arise from these Newsletters, please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Jessie Dennison or Mr Tim Knowles.
