2024 - New Staff
Mr AM (Andreou-Mill)
I am very excited to join the OLGC community in the role of Deputy Principal in 2024. I bring a variety of teaching and leadership experience, having worked locally in Surrey Hills, as well as Elwood, Brighton and Dingley and abroad in London. I completed my Master of Educational Leadership at Australian Catholic University in 2022 majoring in Leading Learning and Teaching. Within education my passion is empowering staff and students to be confident, secure and enabled to perform, allowing them to be risk takers and succeed in their endeavours. Having previously worked within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, I am a strong advocate for student agency; voice, choice and ownership, ensuring students and staff are active and self-regulated learners. Within my personal life my wife, daughter and I are excited to welcome a new member to our family this coming May, completing our family group. It is a pleasure to join this caring community and I look forward to getting to know everyone and embedding myself within the fabric of OLGC.
Miss Chelsea Perrin
My name is Chelsea Perrin and I’m very excited to be one of the new faces at Our Lady of Good Counsel.
I have spent the last 12 months as a CRT, working at a variety of schools across Melbourne. Because of this, I am thrilled to settle in at OLGC and get to know the students, staff and parent community.
I love my active lifestyle and grew up playing netball, volleyball and dancing many times a week. I can’t wait to bring these passions to OLGC and pass on my enthusiasm for sport and performance.
I have had the best time getting to know the 5/6 cohort over the last week - particularly those in 5/6P - and cannot wait for theyear ahead!
Mr Tom Brophy
Hi, I am Tom Brophy. I have come from a family of teachers so it was only natural that I got into teaching myself. I am the middle child out of 3. I grew up in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, in North Balwyn. In my spare time, I like to read fantasy books, play PlayStation, have dinner with friends and take my dogs for a walk. I have 2 dogs, a chihuahua named Momo and a papillion named Arlo. My favourite animal is a chinchilla. I love how small and cute they are but unfortunately, they are not allowed to be kept as pets in Victoria. My favourite subject to teach in school is anything around literacy: spelling, comprehension and writing. I have been teaching for 5 years. I have taught in Year 3 to Year 6, at one point, I even taught a classroom with 4/5/6 students.
Lucy McNamara
My name is Lucy McNamara and I am very excited to be teaching the wonderful 3/4M this year. I have just moved to OLGC from the beach as last year I taught in Geelong after graduating from Australian Catholic University. I am very passionate about teaching and endeavor to create a safe and welcoming space for all students to learn.
When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time back down on the coast with family and friends or traveling to new places. On the weekends I love going for walks/ bike rides and playing sports. Thank you for welcoming me into your school and I look forward to continuing to get to know the OLGC community!
Miss Joyce Dunne
I am excited to join OLGC this year and to be working with the 1/2 team. Originally from Ireland, I taught for a number of years in an Irish Catholic School before moving to Switzerland to work in an International School. In search of some sunshine, I decided to move to Australia a couple of years ago and I am in my second year of teaching here. I enjoy playing AFL and Gaelic Football in my spare time and love performing music. I look forward to the year ahead and getting to know the students, staff and families of OLGC.
Ms Belinda Jackson
Hello my name is Belinda Jackson and I am very excited to be joining the OLGC community. I have taught students of all ages, but my favourite grade level, without a doubt, is Prep. It is the most rewarding year as a teacher to see the growth and development in the students and the changes that they experience throughout the year. I have taught in different schools from Hawthorn and Darwin to the eastend of London and I absolutely love being a teacher. I take pride in knowing that I have an important role in shaping and supporting the lives of the children I teach. It is always my goal to ensure the students entrusted in my care will have an unforgettable learning experience at school. Building strong and positive relationships with my students and parents is always a priority and I look forward to getting to know you all as the year progresses.
I am a passionate Collingwood supporter and enjoy watching the games, especially when the Pies win. I have a rescue dog called Razor, who enjoys food a little bit too much, and 5 free range chickens. I love traveling when I have the opportunity and my favourite places would have to be
