Music @ MMCRC

Beth Winterhalter - Instrumental Music Coordinator

Welcome back to 2024!

Our music department is buzzing with excitement as we kick off the new year with some thrilling updates!

Meg Doherty, our talented vocal and guitar teacher, will be expanding her schedule to teach an additional day and lead the choir while assisting with the liturgical music ensemble.

Additionally, Kerryn Lockhart, our esteemed vocal teacher, returns with her wealth of experience and passion for nurturing musical talent.

We are also thrilled to welcome Mr. David Robinson to our Music Classroom program, where he will teach Year 7 Music and offer expertise in instrumental drums and guitar instruction.

I would like to introduce myself; I am Beth Winterhalter. Learning and Teaching Leader – Art and Technology, and Instrumental Music Coordinator. I will be teaching Years 7-12 classroom music, brass/keyboard instrumental tutoring, and leading the Liturgical Music and Bands program in the college.

An exciting year is ahead with many performance opportunities to come for our students. Already our choir has been diligently preparing for the upcoming Ash Wednesday Mass, which is set to take place on Wednesday, February 14th. The dedication and hard work of our students is evident, with the music practice rooms buzzing with energy as many enthusiastic students return to rehearse in their groups during lunchtime.

Are you interested in learning a musical instrument?
