Welcome back to the 2024 school year to our Secondary Years students and families. This year we will be welcoming over 100 new students to the Secondary Years from Year 7 through to Year 12. To all our new students, we warmly welcome you and wish you the very best for the year ahead.
To assist with a smooth start to the year, students and parents are reminded of key school expectations, which exist for the safety and wellbeing of students. Please endeavour to address these matters before school starts.
- Uniform: students are reminded to check their uniforms to make sure they have correct uniform that fits for the start of Term 1 and that they are groomed according to school expectations. Click here to read the Student Uniform Guidelines.
- Hats must be worn at all times at Recess and Lunchtime when students are outside. This is for the health and safety of the student. Please ensure you have a hat ready to wear at the start of the year.
- Dress/skirt length must be to the knee (not above). Please ensure lengths are adjusted to meet this requirement.
- Blazers are required for assemblies and chapels, and must be worn to/from school.

- Booklists and Stationery items: students are reminded that they are to supply their own stationery and booklist items this year. Please refer to the information sent out to your family at the end of last year with details of the booklist items required for this year.
- Naming of personal items: please ensure that all personal items are clearly named to reduce lost property accumulating.
- Uniform items & school bags

- Drink bottles, lunch boxes, etc.
Where to go and what to do on Day 1 (Monday 29 January)
- All returning students should report to their PC class at the start of Lesson 1, according to the location of their PC class during Step Up Week.
- New students should report to the Chapel at the start of the day and will be directed to their PC class room by their Assistant Head of Secondary.
- New Devices (iPad or Laptop) will be issued to Year 7, Year 10 students and any new students on Day 1. If you are swapping out a device, please make sure that you bring the required equipment to school on that day.
I’m very excited for the year ahead of us, and I look forward to meeting and working with you all – parents and students – as we work together to create an amazing year for our Secondary students. In the book of Ecclesiastes, the writer Solomon says: “a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” A successful education for all students occurs when we all work in partnership – students, teachers and parents – and when we do work in partnership, the quality of learning that occurs for our students will be at its strongest.
Wishing all families God’s richest blessings as we begin this new school year.
