GNLC can take no responsibility for actions arising from incorrect information if we have not been notified of changes. If you have changes to your contact details (mobile phone, email, home address) please contact the College at frontdesk@goodnews.vic.edu.au and provide your latest information for our records.
STUDENT ABSENCES
In the event that your child will be late or absent, families are requested to notify the College via SMS on 0448 825 424 before the start of the day.
STUDENT LATE ARRIVALS
The school day commences at 8.50am, and any student arriving at or after this time will be considered late. Students who haven’t entered their classroom by this time are required to visit Student Services and sign in using the College iPad LMS kiosk. Your cooperation in following this procedure is valued, as it ensures the safety and proper attendance tracking of all students.

STUDENT AWARDS AND PRESENTATIONS
From 2024, GNLC will celebrate the academic achievements of students at regular assemblies. Annual competitions including ICAS, Australian Science Olympiad, Science Talent Search, Australian Maths Competition, Australian History Competition, Premiers ANZAC Prize, Wynspeak Public Speaking, Debating, the GNLC Writing Competition and other academic and extracurricular events will be acknowledged in front of the student cohort of GNLC. Parents are also most welcome to attend these presentations, and invitations will be forwarded to parents via email prior to each assembly where relevant. Our commitment is to celebrate a broader range of accomplishments, and by recognising achievements in a more comprehensive manner, we aim to celebrate the diverse talents and strengths of all our students.
All parents are welcome to attend these services, along with specially invited guests. Seating may be limited depending on numbers.

Please note that all students are required to have their individual ID photo taken which will be used for College computer database systems, and student cards (7-12). Photos will take place on Tuesday 30 January (Week 1) with a backup day for absentees on Friday 16 February (Week 3). Please ensure your child is wearing appropriate uniform and in particular adhering to College guidelines regarding jewelery, hair and makeup.
As the College transitions to a new sub-school structure, we will also commence the process to streamline the current student uniform with a new supplier (Dobsons) in May 2024. Our current supplier (Noones) will be able to supply the required school uniform items until this changeover. Rather than three variations to uniforms over the course of a student’s journey at GNLC we will move to two variants, one for Primary Years and one for Secondary Years. To minimise the effect on families the College will provide a significant changeover/transition period with some new items being added in 2024. This means any garments currently purchased and worn by students can be worn until the start of 2026. Primary uniform changes will be minor, so new Prep families can purchase current uniform items for use until the start of 2026. We also wish to inform families purchasing a blazer for their child commencing in Secondary Years (7-12) that once we changeover to our new uniform with the new logo, there will be an option to have the pocket replaced, for a small fee, which will update the blazer with the required logo from 2026. For questions regarding uniform changes please email schoolboxhelp@goodnews.vic.edu.au
