Ashleigh Streeter-Jones, a recognised "youthful visionary" by Forbes Magazine, is a dedicated advocate for societal equality, with a focus on empowering women and marginalized youth. She has spoken alongside influential figures such as US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, addressing gender equality, youth leadership, and civic engagement. Ashleigh's impactful work extends globally, including her participation in the United Nations and the World Economic Forum.
In 2020, she founded Raise Our Voice Australia (ROVA), a social enterprise that educates and mobilizes young women and gender-diverse individuals to influence policy and politics. ROVA has graduated over 100 individuals, with a significant impact on participants' engagement in political activities. Ashleigh's previous initiatives include co-founding the Girls Takeover Parliament program and serving on the board of YWCA Canberra.
With a BA(Hons) in International Relations/Politics and a Masters in Diplomacy, Ashleigh is a seasoned speaker and adviser on topics such as gender equality, youth engagement, and civic participation. She continues to champion change as the Pacific Community Champion for the World Economic Forum Global Shapers, supporting young change-makers across the region.
In 2024, Ashleigh was recognized as a finalist for the Victorian Young Australian of the Year and has previously been named Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2018. Her commitment to creating a more equal world has made her a notable figure in global advocacy and leadership.
Phoebe Saintilan is a gender equality advocate and the Founder of Missing Perspectives, a media company and newsroom challenging the under-representation of young women in the news industry worldwide.
Established in June 2021 and promoted by Reese Witherspoon, Missing Perspectives currently reaches over 1M people across 120+ countries. With the support of Google, the company is about to launch an app that will connect newsrooms with young female journalists.
Prior to founding Missing Perspectives, Phoebe was a Policy Advisor working at the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Australian Human Rights Commission, the UN Secretariat and in the private sector. She studied a combined Bachelor of Arts/Law and a Master of Peace and Conflict Studies, all at the University of Sydney.
