Assistant Principal's Report

Welcome to the start of what promises to be an exciting school year. My name is Mitch Harris, and I am thrilled to join the school community as the Assistant Principal working alongside Simone and the incredible teaching/education support staff to promote students' strengths and interests.  

My time in education has been mainly in North-East Victoria at Wodonga Middle Years College and Tallangatta Secondary College. I hope to bring these experiences to the interactions I have at Mt Beauty Secondary College. Our school's values of Respect, Kindness, and Confidence are the guiding values that will shape our interactions and learning experiences throughout this school year. 

To kick off the year, we welcomed students and parents/guardians at our Welcome BBQ which took place on Thursday 1st February. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to come together as a community, to develop connections, and to gain a platform for success in 2024. 

Reflecting on the wisdom of Steve Jobs, "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work." This reminder highlights the importance of passion and purpose in all that we do, inspiring us to strive for excellence.
