The School Council meeting on Tuesday 24 June focused on a number of regular school oversight and development topics but also marked the transition of the school business manager role on the retirement of Mrs Walsh.

Mrs Walsh has been a key member of the POPS community for over 25 years as a parent, as a leading member of the Parent Association and as an integral member of the school’s staff. We congratulated her on her significant contributions to the school over those many years. Mrs Walsh is being succeeded in the role by Mrs Daniel and the school council welcomed her to the role.

Other matters considered and noted included grant applications recently submitted, works on adjoining properties by Manningham Council, review of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. Of significant note, was discussion of the upcoming exchange program visit by 13 children and 2 staff members from Jingling Primary. School Council acknowledges and thanks the families that have opened their homes to accommodate these visiting children during their stay with us.
