On Monday, we enjoyed a delightful Storytime session all about bubbles! We sang songs, read the book Too Many Bubbles, and then headed outside for some bubble blowing fun.
It was wonderful to welcome preschool children from the Community House Early Learning Centre, families who have enrolled their children in Foundation for next year, as well as current families with younger siblings.
A special thank you to our Year 6 leaders, who did a fantastic job engaging with the preschoolers, reading stories, joining in the fun, and sharing the joy of bubbles. Their warmth and leadership were truly appreciated.
Our next Storytime session will be Monday August 18 from 9am.
A reminder that enrolment applications for Foundation 2026 at Park Orchards Primary School close on Friday, July 25.
Families wishing to enrol their child must complete the online enrolment application by this date to ensure a place for next year. Once applications close, the school will contact successful applicants with an offer of enrolment.
If you have a child starting school in 2026, or know a family who does, please make sure the application process is completed by the deadline.
To get started: Create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 25 July 2025.
As we reach the end of Term 2, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the many highlights of the past eleven weeks. From inspiring classroom learning and creative projects to exciting excursions, hands on incursions, Market Day, 5/6 Rocket STEM projects and a variety of sporting events, our students have made the most of every opportunity with energy, curiosity, and resilience.
We’re incredibly proud of the way our students continue to grow and thrive, and we’re equally grateful for the passion and dedication of our amazing staff, who make learning meaningful and fun every day.
A big thank you to our families for your ongoing support, encouragement, and partnership. You are such an important part of what makes our school community so special.
I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Mrs Walsh all the very best as she begins her well earned retirement.
We are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed to our school and wider community over the past 26 years. Her presence, care, and expertise will be deeply missed.
We hope this next chapter brings her much happiness, relaxation, and joy, it is so richly deserved.
Farewell also to Maeve (4M) and the Ross family. We thank them for their contributions to POPS and our school community over the years. We wish you all the very best for the future.
We are fortunate to have the generous support of organisations within our local community.
A heartfelt thank you to QUINTONS IGA for donating the fresh fruit for last Friday’s Walk to School Day, your contribution was greatly appreciated by all.
We’d also like to sincerely thank TheirCare for their ongoing support this term. They kindly donated sausages for our recent Open Night and have also gifted the school a brand new BBQ.
We are truly grateful for your generosity and commitment to our school community.
Tomorrow is the last day of the term. Please note the Whole School Assembly is at 2pm and student dismissal is at 2:30pm. Please be aware that threre will be no crossing supervisor on Park Rd to assist with students crossing the road.
We wish you all a safe, restful, and joyful school holiday break. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for Term 3 on Monday, July 21!
