Principal's Report
By John Mooney
On Monday 3rd November, we will be conducting a Curriculum Day.
This is the day before the Melbourne Cup Day designated public holiday. There will be no school for students on this day.
The first part of our Curriculum Day will feature the importance of Ethics in Educational Allied Facilities and Ethics in Education.
The second part of this Curriculum Day will involve preparations for our School Review and new dimensions of school report writing.
Our School Review will determine the future strategic goals and development of our school. One of the defining features of Emerson School is its broad range of specialised programs that enable students to express their capabilities and talents. In other words, our school is a designated Specialist School that enables our students to unlock their potential through the many options in learning.
Our School Council is determined to continue the modernization of our buildings in our Junior School and Performing Arts areas. For example, our current instrumental music programs have no specific practice areas.
It is important to progress our building modernization program to improve our facilities for Emerson School’s current and future students.
