Volunteers Needed

I am writing to share about our Parish’s Winter Shelter Program, which has now begun for the season. Each year, the shelter provides a warm, safe space and a hot meal to individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

We are currently in urgent need of volunteers, even for just a couple of hours, to help with simple but vital tasks such as preparing and serving meals, welcoming guests, and setting up or tidying the space.

We would greatly appreciate your support in sharing this opportunity with your staff, and school families, especially those looking for meaningful ways to contribute to the wellbeing of our wider community.

Volunteering at the shelter not only meets a real need but also fosters compassion, gratitude, and solidarity — values that align so closely with the heart of Catholic education.

If your school community are able to assist, please contact us.

Our shelter days are Thursday evening to Saturday morning.

Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to building a more caring and just society.

Regards,
