Year 1 Update

Our Learning - Weeks 10 & 11

English	To learn to read and write words containing 'air', 'ere', 'are', and revise all sounds learnt in Stage 7.2 following the Little Learners Love Literacy program. To understand the structure of recounts and narratives and attempt to write their own and create a narrative using Play School Art Maker.
Maths	To understand there are four seasons in a year and to match the correct months the correct season. To understand there are 12 months in a year and to order them correctly. To understand weeks and months and investigate the features of a calendar.
Inquiry	To plan, design and create a community as a class using recycled materials and our knowledge of communities.
SEL	To describe what labels are used for. To identify that it is not helpful to apply labels to people.

News and Reminders:

Please make sure all your child's belongings (such as jumpers, beanies, jackets, etc.) are clearly labelled with their name. We have been finding many unnamed items, and it is difficult to return them to their owners without proper labelling.
Friday 4th July - Term 3 ends 2.30pm & Semester One reports available on Compass.
Friday 4th July – Pyjama Day. Please bring a gold coin donation. All money raised will go to helping the local food bank.
