Prep Update

Our Learning - Weeks 10 & 11
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL):
-To describe our likes and dislikes and compare how they are similar to and different from their friends.
-To describe some hopes or dreams they have for their future.
English:
-To identify the /k/ sound and identify objects that begin with the /k/ sound.
-To recognise the /ks/ sound and identify objects that have a /ks/ sound at the end of a word.
To recognise and form the /w/ sound and identify objects that have a /w/ sound at the beginning.
-To form letters using Hartley shapes.
-To explore picture books by a particular author and talk about what they liked about the story.
-To write one or more sentences about a picture prompt and include the features that a sentence has.
Maths:
-To recognise and sequence the days of the week.
-To link activities to days of the week.
-To sequence familiar events in correct order.
-To sort activities according to how long they take to complete.
Inquiry:
Our Inquiry unit continues to focus on change.
-To understand how and why things change and reflect on our Inquiry unit over the term.
Friendly Reminders:
-Milo's Birthday Activities- Wednesday, 2nd July.
-Pyjama Day- Friday, 4th July. Please bring a gold coin donation to go towards the local food bank.
-Last day of Term 2- Friday, 4th July. Students finish at 2:30pm and reports will be available on Compass.
-Monday 21st July- Term 3 commences.
